INVESTMENT THESIS

From the way content is produced, aggregated, distributed and consumed, Fintech is enabling as well as disrupting business paradigms in Sports Media and Entertainment. The Holt IntersXion fund is focused on leveraging the exceptional returns that will be generated in this shift in business models.

Our investment philosophy centers around investing in early-stage companies, ranging from Seed to Series A in the B2B infrastructure, that are at the forefront of enabling and driving disruptive changes.

We are an early-stage investor and long-term company builder in B2B fintech technology. We will be investing according to our core thesis of the “Fintech first” transformation of the Sports, Media and Entertainment industry.

The IntersXion Fund II is dedicated to nurturing visionary founders developing key elements of the emerging underlying fintech platforms and putting it to work to transform legacy business models.

"Fintech" Technologies are Disrupting Existing Business Models in Sports, Media & Entertainment

The advent of digital solutions has accelerated dramatically, fueled by lockdowns, social distancing, and the shift to remote work. This migration from the physical to the digital realm has given rise to new capabilities and business models, spurred by technological innovations such as AI, Generative AI, machine learning, blockchain, and even future quantum computing. These advancements are driving automation and introducing novel functionalities that are set to reshape financial services.

In 2019, Angela Strange, Partner with A16Z, said, ““in the not-too-distant future, nearly every company will derive a significant portion of its revenue from financial services. Every company, even those that have nothing to do with financial services, will have the opportunity to benefit from fintech.” This prediction encapsulates the essence of Fintech’s transformative potential.
